What is Escrow
Indroduction to FiveM Asset Escrow System
FiveM CFX Escrow
CFX Escrow, is a system implemented by Cfx.re (the team behind FiveM) to protect script developers' intellectual property (IP).
What is CFX Escrow?
CFX Escrow is a mechanism designed to encrypt and protect FiveM scripts. When a developer uploads a script using escrow, the source code is encrypted, preventing users from directly accessing or modifying it. Only the FiveM servers and the authorized users (usually server owners) can execute the script.
This system aims to:
Protect developers' work: It prevents unauthorized access to the source code.
Secure server environments: It ensures that server owners are using the original, unmodified versions of scripts.
Encourage premium content: Developers can sell scripts without worrying about piracy or unauthorized distribution.
How Does It Work?
Developers upload their scripts to the Cfx.re platform with escrow enabled.
Users who purchase or rent these scripts cannot view or modify the code.
The script runs normally on the server but remains protected from unauthorized access.
